About the role

Private equity firms are aggressively rolling up construction and landscaping operating companies, creating an explosive, high-leverage market opportunity. As our first Account Executive - Private Equity, you will own this strategic growth engine end-to-end. We are looking for a high-energy, relentless seller to prospect PE operating partners and holdco executives, execute fast-paced pilots, close enterprise-wide portfolio agreements, and power multi-entity expansion. This is a high-octane, full-cycle enterprise role where you will hunter-prospect, travel, command C-suite conversations, and establish the strategic playbook for a multi-million dollar platform sales motion.

What you'll do

• Build, own, and aggressively scale a high-velocity pipeline with private equity firms, operating partners, and holding companies in construction and landscaping

• Drive high-energy, creative outbound prospecting via multi-channel outreach (cold calls, personalized video, LinkedIn, industry events, and in-person executive meetings)

• Run high-impact, structured pilots with portfolio companies, establishing clear ROI and success criteria before launch

• Build mutual action plans with C-suite executives and drive complex, multi-stakeholder deals to signature on ambitious timelines

• Close portfolio-level platform agreements, then expand Bobyard's AI takeoff and estimating automation platform across every operating company

• Partner with implementation and core sales teams to deliver flawless rollouts that turn accounts into evangelical customer references

• Establish the foundational sales playbook, mentor incoming talent, and help build and lead the platform sales team as the channel accelerates

• Harness ROI insights and operational metrics to demonstrate clear value, margin expansion, and bidding velocity to PE investment committees

What we're looking for

• 5+ years in high-octane enterprise sales, corporate development, or other quota-carrying deal-making roles

• A proven track record of closing six-figure+ multi-stakeholder enterprise deals with C-level buyers on fast, dynamic timelines

• Relentless hunter mindset with elite outbound prospecting chops—you create your own pipeline from scratch and thrive in fast-paced execution

• Commanding executive presence and fluency in business value—you effortlessly translate product capabilities into financial return and strategic growth for investors

• Mastery of running structured pilots and mutual action plans that consistently lead to contract execution

• High energy, adaptability, and enthusiasm for regular travel (~30–40%) and in-person deal closing

• Competitive, self-motivated, and energized by building a category-defining company

Nice to have

• Experience selling to or through private equity firms, holding companies, or roll-ups

• Background in AI sales, construction tech, field services, commercial estimating, or vertical SaaS

• Prior success launching a net-new sales segment, channel, or strategic vertical from zero

• Experience hiring or mentoring other sellers
