About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager – Pipe System Design (PSD) to lead a team of skilled pipe and system design engineers and manage the engineering execution of a portfolio of projects from our NOV SPS Rio office, working in close coordination with our Açu factory and site.

This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your leadership, management, and technical skills while contributing to a global Engineering organization and expanding the knowledge and experience within our Pipe System Design team.

As Engineering Manager, your primary focus will be leading the PSD project execution team and ensuring effective delivery across the assigned project portfolio. You will oversee engineering design, development, and project completion throughout the product lifecycle, from tender through execution.

You will manage engineering risks and coordinate solutions across Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Planning, and Manufacturing, while ensuring that customer specifications and applicable standards are properly addressed.

Working in a multidisciplinary and international environment, you will collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders across Rio de Janeiro, Açu, and Brøndby .

Key Responsibilities:

As Engineering Manager – Pipe System Design , you will be responsible for:

Leading the day-to-day activities of the PSD project execution team, ensuring timely and effective delivery of the assigned project portfolio;

Leading, supporting, and developing an experienced team of pipe and system design engineers;

Planning and managing engineering scope, resources, priorities, deliverables, and project milestones;

Attending project meetings and providing the necessary technical support, information, and decisions to the team and other project stakeholders;

Tracking project deliverables, risks, resources, and milestones in collaboration with Project Managers, Technical Managers, Engineering Managers, Engineering Leaders, and other relevant stakeholders;

Overseeing and participating in internal design activities, technical reviews, and engineering assurance activities for projects in execution;

Managing engineering risks and coordinating solutions across Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Project Execution;

Ensuring that engineering design and documentation comply with customer specifications and applicable standards;

Reviewing and approving design documentation;

Supporting technical developments and improvements through applicable group charter activities when specifically designated;

Promoting and supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on engineering efficiency and quality;

Maintaining close day-to-day coordination with the PSD Engineering Manager in Açu , ensuring clear accountability and effective interfaces between project execution, local manufacturing support, FEED and conceptual studies, Sales Engineering, and after-sales activities;

Leading or coordinating customer interactions related to Pipe System Design together with the wider project team;

Preparing technical documentation, as required, based on input from customers and other Engineering teams;

Exercising sound engineering judgment and effectively challenging complex technical matters;
