The Role

As a Mongo DB Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll be responsible for the administration, operation, and support of relational and non‑relational database environments, primarily Mongo DB. In this role, you ensure database availability, performance, security, and reliability while supporting mission‑critical production systems under defined SLAs.

You will manage database installations and configurations, monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support business requirements. Your work contributes directly to stable operations, data integrity, and continuous service improvement in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and operate Mongo DB databases, ensuring availability, performance, and stability.

Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade database engines following operational standards.

Monitor environments, analyze alerts, and troubleshoot incidents in critical production systems.

Manage backup, recovery, high‑availability solutions, and capacity planning.

Optimize queries, support applications, and maintain technical documentation and standards.

Who You Are

Required skills and experience

Microsoft Windows Server 2016 implementation and management

VMware ESXi experience

Public/private cloud management, especially migration from on-prem to cloud

2+ years of hands‑on experience in Mongo DB Administrator or support roles.

Experience administering and operating relational and non‑relational databases, primarily Mongo DB.

Knowledge of database installation, configuration, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

Experience monitoring environments, analyzing alerts, and troubleshooting incidents.

English Intermediate proficiency required for technical documentation and collaboration with global teams.

Preferred skills and experience

Experience managing backups, recovery processes, and high‑availability database solutions.

Familiarity with database security and access management (users, roles, permissions).

Experience with patching, upgrades, and hardening of database platforms.

Automation experience, especially IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)

Vulnerability management

On prem AD FS (Active Directory Federation Services) with Microsoft Active Directory (AD), and/or Azure AD
