WHO WE ARE
The Humane League (THL) is a global nonprofit ending the abuse of animals raised for food. THL fosters a high-energy culture of teamwork and mission-driven problem solving, and we have earned recognition as Top Charity from Animal Charity Evaluators for all of their rating periods. Over the past few years, we’ve grown to a staff of 100+ talented individuals dispersed around the world. At THL, how animals are treated in the food system is at the forefront of our everyday work. We welcome all mission-aligned candidates to apply, no matter where you are in your journey to end the abuse of animals raised for food.
YOUR OPPORTUNITY
The Open Wing Alliance (OWA), a program of The Humane League, is a global coalition of 80+ animal protection organizations united in a common goal: to end the abuse of chickens worldwide. For the past decade, we have focused our efforts on eliminating battery cages by securing cage-free policies from major retailers, restaurants, and manufacturers. We specialize in institutional campaigning, a strategic approach that can be tailored to our members’ unique circumstances and challenges.
As the OWA Member Support Specialist, you are the operational backbone of the alliance. This role combines project management with the essential day-to-day operational work that keeps the OWA running smoothly. You will independently manage and develop projects such as the OWA Mentorship Program and Virtual Training Academy, lead data analysis initiatives, and maintain the digital platforms, communications, and processes that our 80+ member organizations rely on. You will serve as a primary liaison for the alliance members, applying your technical knowledge, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities to resolve operational challenges, improve processes, and ensure OWA members have the resources and support they need. This role requires a high degree of independence, attention to detail, and sound judgment, including knowing when to seek input or escalate an issue. This position reports directly to the Sr. Associate Director of OWA Projects.

The successful candidate must be authorized to work in one of these countries and reside in that country while undertaking this role.
