We are looking for a Senior UX Designer to work on a project in the online marketplace industry.

The project:

You will be part of a distributed team developing new technologies to solve real business problems. The project is for a company that owns global marketplace websites, with teams working on various regional platforms. The initiative is being set up as a new legal entity with board backing, and the work will run as time-boxed experiments through to the end of the year, with the objective of building experimental platforms using artificial intelligence. The core intention is to learn: the client is not only looking for delivery capacity, but for expertise on how to do this right and what it could mean for how they transform the broader organisation. The Service marketplace platform is particularly interesting in this regard, as it is a clean slate with a new entity and no inherited constraints on how to approach it. They want it done differently precisely so they can learn from it, and from the outset it should also be able to integrate as a macro app within their existing logins and apps.

We are looking for someone with good communication skills, ideally with experience making decisions, being proactive, used to building software from scratch, and with good attention to detail.

What you will do:

Work on AI development, helping to build experimental platforms using artificial intelligence

Contribute to the Service marketplace platform, a clean-slate build with no inherited constraints

Bring expertise on how to approach the work in a new way, so the client can learn from it

Help design the platform so it can integrate as a macro app within the client's existing logins and apps

Collaborate within a squad team

What you will bring

9+ years of experience as a UX Designer, at senior level or above

Strong AI knowledge and significant prior experience, as the work involves AI development

Expertise in how to approach a new build the right way, as the client is looking to learn from the team

Proficiency in Figma (or Sketch/Adobe XD) and prototyping tools

Solid portfolio showing end-to-end design process, not just final visuals

Knowledge of UX methodologies such as design thinking, Lean UX and Jobs to Be Done

Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design principles

Experience working with design systems and design tokens

Familiarity with user research and testing tools (Maze, UserTesting, Hotjar, Optimal Workshop)

Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and front-end constraints, so designs are feasible

Strong ability to leverage AI solutions, including Claude

Nice to have:

Experience with UX writing and microcopy

Knowledge of motion design and micro-interactions

Experience with data-driven design, analytics and A/B testing

Background in a specific domain (fintech, healthtech, e-commerce, SaaS)
